Welcome to ASE!

What if I can't attend Lottery?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      We have a proxy process in place, which means you can have a friend stand in your place the night of the lottery.

Domestic Lottery will take place on Monday, January 30 at 8pm in Blueridge Ballroom (201 PSU). Be sure to pick-up a Lottery packet in the ACT Office and check out the Lottery page for more instructions.

Serve the world with your hands. See the world with new eyes.

Are you taking your education beyond the classroom? Consider an Alternative Service Experience and explore a variety of social issues while working with communities across the globe. Whether a domestic program on the gulf coast or an international program south of the equator, use your time during fall, winter and spring break to create deeper connections between your classroom work and the communities of the world.

At Appalachian State University we have a unique service program called Alternative Service Experience, where students spend their spring breaks doing service alongside a community!

We are excited to offer the following 17 Domestic ASEs over Spring Break this year! Information about each of the programs can be found HERE.

To sign-up to participate in a Domestic ASE, students should attend Spring Domestic Lottery on January 30th in Blue Ridge Ballroom (PSU 201) at 8pm.
