Spring Break Domestic Programs: Poverty

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all Driving Domestic programs are cancelled the 2020-2021 year.

Part of the Solution

Join us as we learn about urban poverty and serve alongside POTS! Throughout the week, we will participate in hands-on activities with our community partner. We will also have many opportunities to explore and learn about the diverse history of the surrounding area. Bring an open mind and heart as we work to be part of the solution!

Protecting Our Peaks

Come to the beautiful mountains and learn about coal, coal mining and the history of Appalachia! Participate in service by planting trees on a old strip mine and helping low-income Appalachian weatherize their homes Get ready to learn more about economic development in efforts to improve rural communities. Look forward to hiking, friendly dogs, old-time mountain music, documentary films, and beautiful mountainous views!
